I sat down and using the map inSL, slowly panned around and was able to collect a complete crude image of the grid and the people in it. each little grey dot is an island or region of 256 x 256 meters.
The 6 large clusters at the bottom right are the "Mainland" The smaller cluster at the top are the sims of Anshe Chung and at the very top, the red dot, are the 19 duplicate set for sims for the CSI production.
The Second Life® Grid continues to expand at approximately 700 islands per month, and the concurrency rate has been increasing at about three times that amount. As of 4-1-2008 there are now approximately 20,000 sims/regions/server cores on line for 60,000 concurrent users.

Very cool. I appreciate the explanation of the mainland, Chung's, and CSI. Helps to put it into perspective.
Thanks for making this available to look at!
